Privacy Policy

Call Analyst ("we," "us," "our") respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, and share information when you use the Call Analyst service at callanalyst.app and its subdomains.
1. Information We Collect
We collect only what's necessary to operate the service:
- Account information: email address (via Google Sign-In or magic link signup).
- Subscription data: Stripe customer ID, subscription status, trial dates. Card details are processed by Stripe and never stored on our servers.
- Usage data: count of AI prompts used, timestamps for trial enforcement.
- Third-party API keys you provide: Fireflies, Otter, Fathom keys are stored in your browser's local storage only — never transmitted to our servers.
2. What We Do NOT Collect
- We do not store call transcripts on our servers. Transcripts stay in your browser session.
- We do not store your Anthropic or OpenAI API keys (if you provide your own).
- We do not record meetings ourselves — Call Analyst connects to your existing notetaker (Fireflies, Otter, Fathom) which you've configured separately.
- We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with third parties for marketing purposes.
3. How We Use Information
- Authenticate your account and enforce subscription status.
- Process payments via Stripe.
- Forward your AI requests to Anthropic (Claude) or OpenAI (ChatGPT) on your behalf, using a shared API key — these requests contain transcript content you submit and are subject to those providers' data policies.
- Provide customer support if you contact us.
4. Third-Party Services
We use the following third-party services to deliver Call Analyst. Each has its own privacy policy:
- Supabase — authentication and user database (policy)
- Stripe — payment processing (policy)
- Anthropic — Claude AI (policy)
- OpenAI — ChatGPT (policy)
- Netlify — hosting and edge functions (policy)
- Google — sign-in via OAuth (policy)
When you connect Fireflies, Otter, or Fathom, your interactions with those services are governed by their respective privacy policies, not ours.
5. Data Security
All data in transit is encrypted via TLS. Database access is restricted via row-level security and service-role authentication. Card data is handled exclusively by Stripe and never touches our servers.
That said: no internet service is 100% secure. You assume the residual risk inherent to using internet-based services.
6. Data Retention
- Account data: retained while your account is active. Deleted within 30 days of account closure on request.
- Stripe records: retained for tax and accounting purposes (typically 7 years).
- Transcripts: never stored by us.
7. Your Rights
Depending on your jurisdiction (GDPR, CCPA, etc.), you may have rights to access, correct, or delete your personal data. Email hello@callanalyst.app with the subject "Data request" and we'll respond within 30 days.
8. Cookies
We use cookies and local storage for: maintaining your session, remembering your preferences (theme, AI provider), and counting free trial usage. We do not use third-party advertising or tracking cookies.
9. Children
Call Analyst is not intended for users under 18. We do not knowingly collect data from minors.
10. Changes
We may update this policy. Material changes will be announced via email or in-app notice. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
